Kangsoo Kim is a Computer Science Ph.D. candidate under the supervision of Dr. Greg Welch at the University of Central Florida (Department of Computer Science, former Department of Electrical Engineering & Computer Science).
He is also a graduate research assistant (GRA) of the SREAL Lab in the Institute for Simulation and Training. As a GRA, he is involved in a research project on human perceptions of human surrogates (e.g. virtual avatars) funded by the Office of Naval Research.
In general, his research interests include intelligent agents, computer vision/graphics, and virtual/augmented reality. He is currently researching intelligent agents' realistic behavior model (e.g. gaze and gestures) and its human perceptions.
